Closure Engineer\nExperience: 4-12 yrs\nJob Location: Pune\n\nScope of Role\nSenior Design Engineer is responsible for Closure system and details product design according to standards and guidelines. Translate defined product design performance criteria in CAD data & specifications.\n\nArea of Responsibility\nThis position is responsible for new design and development of Automotive Exterior, Lids/Closure Components Like Fuel Filler Flap, charge flap, Housing, hinge mechanism, Tailgate trim, Tailgate anti pinch etc. Should be able to produce engineering design and concepts into 3D model using CATIA V5 And V6.\nComplete ownership of Design and development of Exterior, Lids/Closure trims Create Master sections considering Tooling Feasibilities leading and progressing the design in line with the program timescales and deliverable cadence 3D& 2D (CATIA V5 and V6)\nEnsure Standard methodologies are followed to meet Regulatory, Safety & Quality requirements.\nTo be able to assign and get the work done from team members effectively.\nShould be able to lead the design reviews with cross functional teams & lead engineers.\nAdequate knowledge of plastic moulding and design process, DFMEA, DVP, DFA/DFM.\nKnowledge of GD&T, component drawings, Standards and Guidelines etc.\nEnsuring that the all-project deliverables is met at given time with Dashboard document.\nIdentifying all risks of the programme and make appropriate capitalization documents (Lessons learned, Technical Reports) to feed/improve Design and Development standards and guidelines.\n\nKnowledge / Experience:\nMinimum of 4-12 years of automotive product engineering experience required specifically in automotive Closures and Lids system and component design\nExtensive experience in using CATIA V5 and V6\nExcellent oral and written communication skills\nGood Knowledge or training in Global Exterior trim regulations (Know-how of Indian standards will be an added advantage)\nGood Knowledge of Plastic injection moulding processes (both tooling and design)\nGood Knowledge of Exterior parts specific manufacturing requirement\nGood Knowledge of Design and development knowledge of Automotive Exterior, Lids/Closure trims components Like Fuel Filler Flap, Housing, Charge bowl housing, hinge mechanism, Tailgate trim, Tailgate anti pinch etc.
