Job Description

Scope of Role\nPower Electronics (OBC, DC-DC, inverters – preferred), EV/PHEV charging systems and architectures, HV/LV electrical systems and interfaces\n\nArea of Responsibility\nTechnical Leadership\nLead development of Power Electronics and Charging Modules (OBC, DC-DC converters, HV/LV interfaces, charging inlets, related ECUs).\nOwn system requirements definition, cascading, and validation from vehicle-level down to component-level.\nDrive technical decision-making, design reviews, and architecture selection.\nEnsure compliance with automotive standards, safety, EMC, and regulatory requirements.\nProgram & Delivery Ownership\nLead commodity development from KO to SOP, including concept, design freeze, DV, PV, and launch support.\nEnsure achievement of QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) targets.\nManage engineering deliverables in alignment with program milestones and gateways.\nLead issue resolution, root cause analysis, and corrective actions across development phases.\nSupplier & Stakeholder Management\nAct as technical interface to suppliers, managing RFQs, technical evaluations, and supplier performance.\nReview and approve supplier designs, DFMEA, DVP&R, validation results, and PPAP documentation.\nCoordinate with cross-functional teams including Vehicle Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, NVH, Thermal, Packaging, and Safety.\nValidation, Quality & Compliance\nDefine and approve DVP&R, test plans, and validation strategies.\nEnsure compliance with functional safety (ISO 26262), ASPICE, EMC, thermal, and durability requirements.\nSupport quality activities such as 8D, lessons learned, and continuous improvement.\nMentorship & Governance\nProvide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.\nEstablish best practices, standardization, and knowledge management for the commodity.\nSupport strategic roadmap development for future power electronics and charging technologies.\nTools - MATLAB / Simulink, ASPICE, ISO 26262\n\nKnowledge / Experience – 4 to 8 Years\nEssential:\nDC-Dc converter, inverter, power electronics + charging module experience.\nPackage interaction from mechanical and electrical side.\nHVJB experience preferred.\nOwnership mindset, problem solving, customer focus.\n\nQualification:\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical / Electronics / Power Electronics / Automotive Engineering or related discipline.
