Redhat Linux Admin - Hyderabad

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers and systems.

• Perform regular system monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance tasks.

• Manage system updates, patches, and security configurations.

• Configure and maintain services such as Apache, NGINX, DNS, DHCP, FTP, SSH, and email.

• Develop and manage shell scripts (Bash, Python) to automate routine tasks.

• Monitor system performance using tools like top, sar, iostat, vmstat, etc.

• Configure and manage LVM, RAID, NFS, and SAN storage.

• Implement and maintain security hardening standards (e.g., CIS benchmarks, SELinux, firewalls).

• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.

• Participate in disaster recovery planning and implementation.

• Collaborate with developers, DBAs, and other IT staff to support deployments and operations.

• Work with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.

• Support virtualization and container environments (e.g., KVM, VMware, Docker, Podman).

• Document system configurations, procedures, and policies.
