Java integration Lead

• Lead design and development of integrationcentric backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.
• Own integration strategy across systems—API orchestration, synchronous/asynchronous flows, eventdriven models, and data lineage impacts.
• Define and enforce coding standards, best practices, integration guidelines, and API governance.
• Provide technical direction, mentor engineers, and guide solutioning decisions across crossfunctional teams.

Integration Design & Implementation

• Architect and implement integrations using:
  • REST APIs (synchronous requests)
  • Messaging platforms (MQ-based, IBM MQ equivalents)
  • Cloud Pub/Sub patterns (Google Pub/Sub, event publishing and subscription models)
  • Batch, filebased, and hybrid patterns where applicable
• Analyze system interaction patterns (API calls, downstream dependencies, async event flows) to recommend optimal integration approaches.
• Design scalable, faulttolerant integration components considering throughput, latency, and data volume.

Cloud, DevOps & Deployment

• Deploy and scale integration services on GCP, Azure, or equivalent cloud environments.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) ensuring automated testing, service quality, and secure deployments.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams on containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), monitoring (Prometheus/Grafana), and observability.

Delivery & CrossTeam Collaboration

• Work closely with product owners, architects, system analysts, and downstream teams to understand integration needs and dependencies.
• Troubleshoot integration failures across systems—rootcause analysis, log tracing, message flow debugging, API failure triage.
• Maintain technical documentation including integration diagrams, sequence flows, API definitions, and data lineage maps.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and lead integration planning sessions.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and REST API development.
• Handson experience implementing integration patterns:
  • Synchronous API calls (APIs → backend systems)
  • Asynchronous messaging (MQ, Queuebased patterns)
  • Eventdriven Pub/Sub (GCP or equivalent)
• Strong understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and resilience patterns.
• Experience with cloud deployment on GCP (preferred), Azure, or AWS.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong debugging skills for crosssystem integration flows.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with largescale modernization
• Experience with event streaming technologies (Kafka/Pub/Sub).
• Familiarity with integration governance, API lifecycle management, authentication/authorization models.
• Exposure to frontend frameworks like React/Next.js (for endtoend understanding).
• Understanding of enterprise data models, schema mapping, and transformation.
