Job Description:
Backup Operations & Support
Administer and support Dell EMC NetWorker and Dell Power Protect Data Manager (PPDM) environments.
Monitor daily backup jobs, identify failures, and perform root cause analysis.
Troubleshoot and resolve backup, restore, and replication issues within defined SLAs.
Perform file level, VM level, database level, and application aware restores.
Handle incident, service request, and change management tickets (ITIL based).
Backup Configuration & Maintenance
Configure backup policies, schedules, retention, and storage targets.
Manage backup clients, protection groups, and assets.
Perform backup performance tuning and capacity optimization.
Assist with onboarding new servers, applications, and databases into backup.
Required Skills & Experience
7-8 years of experience in enterprise backup administration.
Strong hands on experience with:
Dell EMC NetWorker
Dell PowerProtect Data Manager (PPDM)
Experience in backup troubleshooting and restore operations.
