Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
• Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and maintain multi-site Splunk indexer clusters, search head clusters, and deployment servers.
• Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in indexing and searching; optimize SPL queries and dashboards.
• Data Onboarding: Lead complex data onboarding, configuring parsers, field extractions, lookups, and props/transforms.
• Advanced Troubleshooting: Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for major incidents involving log ingestion or search failures.
• Automation & Scripting: Automate routine tasks and application deployment using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Security & Compliance: Manage user access, roles, and security compliance.
• Integration: Integrate Splunk with ITSM tools (ServiceNow) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
Required Qualifications & Skills
• Experience: 7+ years in large-scale Splunk environments.
• Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of Linux/Unix environments, networking, and Splunk components (Forwarders, Indexers, SH).
• Certifications: Splunk Certified Admin/Architect strongly preferred.
• Scripting: Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Methodologies: Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Git) and Agile/Scrum.
Key Competencies
• Expert-level SPL (Search Processing Language).
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Excellent communication for stakeholder collaboration.
