1. Contracts Management
  • Develop, negotiate, review, and finalize EPC, turnkey, itemrate, service, consultancy, subcontract and supply contracts
  • Lead preaward and postaward contract administration, including:
    • Scope definition
    • Risk identification
    • Commercial terms & conditions
    • Payment milestones
    • LDs, penalties, warranties, and guarantees
  • Handle claims management, variations, amendments, disputes, and arbitration coordination
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, statutory requirements, and internal governance
  • Provide contract advisory support to project teams and senior management
2. Procurement & Materials Management
  • Define and implement procurement strategies for projects and operations
  • Oversee:
    • Vendor finalization
    • RFQ / RFP / tendering processes
    • Technocommercial evaluations
  • Ensure timely availability of materials aligned with project schedules
  • Establish strategic sourcing, framework agreements, and longterm rate contracts
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives, value engineering, and supplier optimization
3. Vendor & Supplier Management
  • Develop and maintain a qualified vendor base
  • Conduct vendor assessments, audits, and performance reviews
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, delivery, and commercial adherence
  • Resolve supplier disputes and commercial conflicts
4. Commercial & Cost Control
  • Monitor and control project procurement budgets
  • Evaluate landed cost, lifecycle cost, and total cost of ownership (TCO)
  • Support finance in:
    • Cost forecasting
    • Cash flow planning
    • Provisioning and closures
5. Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure compliance with:
    • Company policies
    • Applicable laws (Contract Act, GST, import/export regulations, etc.)
  • Identify and mitigate commercial, contractual, and supply chain risks
  • Maintain documentation for audits and statutory inspections
6. Leadership & Governance
  • Lead, mentor, and develop contracts & materials teams
  • Establish SOPs, delegation matrices, and approval frameworks
  • Provide strategic inputs to board / leadership on commercial matters
Educational Qualification
  • BE / BTech (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related discipline)
  • MBA / PGDM in Supply Chain / Procurement / Finance / Operations preferred
  • LLB or Diploma in Contract Management (added advantage)
