About The Job:

  • We are looking for a seasoned SAP FICO Data Migration Consultant to lead the FICO data migration workstream for a large-scale global transformation program.
  • As part of the transition from SAP ECC to S/4HANA, the candidate will ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timely availability of financial data across multiple geographies.
  • The ideal candidate combines deep Finance and Controlling domain expertise with strong hands-on experience in SAP data migration tools such as LTMC, LTMOM, BODS, and exposure to Databricks.
  • The role involves end-to-end ownership of the migration lifecycle—from planning and extraction to transformation, loading, and reconciliation.

Essential Job Functions:

Migration Strategy & Planning
  • Collaborate with business process owners and functional leads to define data requirements, extraction rules, and validation criteria.
  • Develop detailed data cutover strategies including Mock Loads (Mock 1, Mock 2), Dry Runs, and Production Cutover.
  • Align with central data migration teams to define and execute migration strategy across multiple country rollouts.
ETL Execution (Extract, Transform, Load)
  • Manage extraction of Master Data and Transactional Data from SAP ECC and non-SAP systems.
  • Lead data cleansing and transformation workshops to align legacy data with S/4HANA data structures (e.g., CVI/Business Partner conversion, New Asset Accounting).
  • Execute data loads using:
  • SAP Migration Cockpit (LTMC)
  • LTMOM (Migration Object Modeler)
  • SAP Data Services (BODS)
  • Exposure to Databricks for large-scale data transformation is preferred.
Data Validation & Reconciliation
  • Perform pre-load and post-load validations to ensure data completeness and accuracy.
  • Conduct financial reconciliations such as:
  • Trial Balance validation
  • Sub-ledger to General Ledger reconciliation
  • Troubleshoot and resolve migration errors in collaboration with technical/ABAP teams.
Stakeholder Management
  • Work with regional finance teams to handle localization requirements (Chart of Accounts, tax structures, banking formats).
  • Drive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for migrated data and obtain business sign-offs.

Qualifications:
Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Functional Expertise
  • 10+ years of SAP FICO experience
  • Minimum:
    • 3 full lifecycle implementations
    • 2 dedicated data migration projects
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Financial Accounting (FI): G/L, AP, AR, Asset Accounting (AA), Bank Accounting
    • Controlling (CO): Cost Center, Profit Center, Internal Orders
    • S/4HANA Expertise
  • Deep understanding of:
    • Universal Journal (ACDOCA)
    • New Asset Accounting
    • Customer-Vendor Integration (CVI) / Business Partner
    • Technical / Migration Expertise
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
  • SAP Migration Cockpit (LTMC)
  • LTMOM
  • SAP Data Services (BODS) / LSMW
  • Exposure to Databricks (preferred)
  • Strong SQL knowledge or ability to guide ABAP-based data extraction programs
  • Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, large dataset handling)

  • Experience in multi-currency and multi-GAAP environments (IFRS / US GAAP / Local GAAP)
