About The Job:
- We are looking for a Tech Lead – Custom Applications with GenAI as the primary focus, who can design, explain, and own end to end AI driven systems. This role requires not just conceptual knowledge but hands on depth and architectural clarity, especially around GenAI application design, data pipelines, ETL strategy, and system trade offs.
- The ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability to clearly articulate design decisions, explain component level interactions, and guide teams in building scalable, secure, and maintainable GenAI-powered applications.
GenAI Architecture & System Design (Primary Expectation)
- Lead the design and implementation of GenAI based custom applications.

Define complete GenAI system architecture, including:
- Data ingestion and preprocessing pipelines
- Embedding generation and storage strategies
- Model orchestration (LLMs, agents, tools, workflows)
- Prompt engineering and prompt lifecycle management
- Inference layer and API integration

Clearly explain why specific architectural choices were made, including:
- Model selection and trade offs
- Latency vs accuracy considerations
- Cost, scalability, and observability implications
- Design unstructured and semi structured data workflows for GenAI use cases.
- Design and own ETL and data pipelines that support GenAI applications.
- Define data manipulation formats and transformations (JSON, Parquet, Delta, etc.).

Establish data design strategy, including:
- Source to target mapping
- Data validation and quality checks
- Versioning and lineage
- Demonstrate strong understanding of how raw data becomes model ready data.
- Avoid “point to point” integrations by designing structured, scalable pipelines.
- Build and lead development of Python based backend services for GenAI applications.

Develop APIs for:
- Model inference
- Data access and orchestration
- Integration with frontend and external systems

Implement best practices for:
- Authentication and authorization
- Error handling, logging, and monitoring
- Secure access to data and models
- Guide the development of ReactJS-based user interfaces for GenAI applications.

Ensure clean integration between:
- Frontend components
- Backend APIs
- AI/ML inference services
- Support design of dashboards or conversational interfaces when required.
- Act as a technical owner and mentor, guiding developers through design and implementation.

Clearly and confidently explain:
- Architecture diagrams
- Data flows end to end
- Component responsibilities and interactions
- Answer technical questions with precision, depth, and alignment to the question intent.
- Drive design reviews and ensure technical rigor and clarity across the team.
Must Have
- 7–12 years of experience in software engineering and system design.
- Proven experience leading custom application architecture.
- Strong hands on experience with GenAI application development.
- Excellent command of Python.

- Data pipelines and ETL concepts
- Data formats and transformations
- Unstructured data handling
- Ability to articulate design decisions, trade offs, and architectural rationale.
- Experience integrating GenAI solutions with enterprise systems.
- Exposure to vector databases and embedding stores.
- Experience with cloud based AI/ML services.
- Prior experience building dashboards or user facing analytics tools.
- Depth over high-level explanations
- Clear, confident articulation of architecture and design
- Strong understanding of data pipelines and ETL fundamentals
- End to end ownership (not just components)
- Ability to justify design decisions and trade-offs
- Tech Lead mindset — guiding teams, not just executing tasks
