Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled IBM DataStage Developer with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in developing and maintaining ETL processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data integration, data warehousing, and a deep understanding of enterprise data management principles.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement ETL processes using IBM DataStage.

  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

  • Work with large volumes of data from multiple sources, ensuring high performance and scalability.

  • Monitor and optimize ETL jobs to ensure timely and efficient data processing.

  • Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure data integrity.

  • Collaborate with data architects, business analysts, and QA teams throughout the development lifecycle.

  • Document technical designs, code, and ETL processes.


Required Skills:

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with IBM DataStage (preferably version 11.x or later).

  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, DB2, or SQL Server.

  • Solid understanding of ETL and data warehousing concepts.

  • Experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting DataStage jobs.

  • Good knowledge of data profiling, data quality, and data governance practices.

  • Familiarity with job scheduling tools (e.g., Control-M, Autosys).

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-based data integration tools.

  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Unix Shell, Python).

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

  • Experience in the finance, healthcare, or retail domain is a plus.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
