Job Description:

As an AWS DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our cloud infrastructure, automating deployment pipelines, and ensuring high availability, scalability, and security of our AWS-based systems. You will collaborate with developers and operations teams to deliver seamless and efficient services. Your role will be pivotal in building CI/CD pipelines, monitoring system performance, and driving best practices for cloud architecture.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS).

  • Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for streamlined application delivery.

  • Automate cloud infrastructure using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.

  • Implement monitoring and alerting solutions using tools like CloudWatch, Datadog, or Prometheus.

  • Work with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestrate with Kubernetes.

  • Ensure high availability, security, and disaster recovery strategies for cloud-based systems.

  • Manage and optimize AWS resources, including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, IAM, and other AWS services.

  • Collaborate with development teams to identify opportunities for continuous integration and deployment improvements.

  • Optimize cloud infrastructure for cost efficiency while maintaining performance and scalability.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner related to system performance, security, or service disruptions.

  • Maintain and improve infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices.

  • Assist in the deployment, configuration, and management of applications running on AWS.

  • Implement security best practices to safeguard cloud infrastructure and sensitive data.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or similar role with a focus on AWS.

  • Strong experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, IAM, VPC, Route 53, Elastic Load Balancer, and more.

  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.

  • Proficiency in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or similar tools.

  • Expertise in containerization using Docker and container orchestration with Kubernetes.

  • Knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting (Bash, Python, or other scripting languages).

  • Strong experience in version control (e.g., Git).

  • Knowledge of monitoring and alerting systems like CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Datadog.

  • Familiarity with networking concepts, firewalls, load balancing, and VPNs in a cloud environment.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience in automating infrastructure provisioning and managing services through AWS CLI or SDKs.

  • Knowledge of security practices for cloud applications (e.g., IAM, VPC security, encryption, SSL/TLS).
