Job Description:
As an AWS DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our cloud infrastructure, automating deployment pipelines, and ensuring high availability, scalability, and security of our AWS-based systems. You will collaborate with developers and operations teams to deliver seamless and efficient services. Your role will be pivotal in building CI/CD pipelines, monitoring system performance, and driving best practices for cloud architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for streamlined application delivery.
Automate cloud infrastructure using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
Implement monitoring and alerting solutions using tools like CloudWatch, Datadog, or Prometheus.
Work with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestrate with Kubernetes.
Ensure high availability, security, and disaster recovery strategies for cloud-based systems.
Manage and optimize AWS resources, including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, IAM, and other AWS services.
Collaborate with development teams to identify opportunities for continuous integration and deployment improvements.
Optimize cloud infrastructure for cost efficiency while maintaining performance and scalability.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner related to system performance, security, or service disruptions.
Maintain and improve infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices.
Assist in the deployment, configuration, and management of applications running on AWS.
Implement security best practices to safeguard cloud infrastructure and sensitive data.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or similar role with a focus on AWS.
Strong experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, IAM, VPC, Route 53, Elastic Load Balancer, and more.
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
Proficiency in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or similar tools.
Expertise in containerization using Docker and container orchestration with Kubernetes.
Knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting (Bash, Python, or other scripting languages).
Strong experience in version control (e.g., Git).
Knowledge of monitoring and alerting systems like CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Datadog.
Familiarity with networking concepts, firewalls, load balancing, and VPNs in a cloud environment.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Experience in automating infrastructure provisioning and managing services through AWS CLI or SDKs.
Knowledge of security practices for cloud applications (e.g., IAM, VPC security, encryption, SSL/TLS).
