Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Automation Test Engineer with hands-on expertise in Playwright to design, build, and maintain robust automated testing frameworks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in test automation for web applications and a passion for ensuring high-quality software delivery.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement end-to-end automated test cases using Microsoft Playwright.

  • Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing and reporting.

  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.

  • Perform regression, smoke, and exploratory testing as needed.

  • Maintain and scale the automation framework to support evolving product requirements.

  • Analyze test results and debug failures to ensure test accuracy and reliability.

  • Write and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and documentation.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 4+ years of experience in test automation, with 1+ year of hands-on experience with Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript or Python).

  • Solid understanding of modern web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, APIs).

  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.

  • Proficient in version control systems such as Git.

  • Knowledge of test frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, or similar.

  • Strong debugging and analytical skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in cross-browser and cross-platform test automation.

  • Familiarity with BDD tools like Cucumber or Gherkin.

  • Exposure to performance testing tools like Lighthouse or k6.

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

  • Knowledge of Docker or other containerization tools.
