Requirements

Kickstart Your Career as a Testing & Commissioning Engineer

Initial Hands-On Training (First 3-6 Months):

Work alongside and assist senior engineers during live commissioning of:

Core Electrical Systems:

HT/LT switchgear, transformers, DG sets and synchronization, UPS, STS/ATS,

PDUs/RPPs, busducts, cabling, earthing and bonding, protection and power monitoring

systems.

Mechanical Systems (basic operational knowledge):

Chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, pumps, heat rejection and ventilation systems, focusing on

electrical integration and interdependencies.

ELV & Controls (interface-level exposure):

BMS, EMS, FAS, and associated monitoring/control systems, emphasizing electrical

integration and commissioning coordination.

Engage in: Pre-commissioning inspections, system readiness assessments, and site surveys

Learn: Review method statements, test procedures, and commissioning checklists

Understand: Data Center redundancy configurations (N, N+1, 2N)

Develop: Documentation skills for T&C reports and test observations

After Training - Expanded Responsibilities:

Perform: Functional, integrated, and performance testing

Manage Commissioning: From HV substations to downstream loads

Carry out: Electrical audits at client locations

Evaluate: Test outcomes and compile detailed T&C reports

Participate in: Integrated Systems Testing (IST) and scheduled shutdowns

Collaborate with: Stakeholders including PMCs, CxAs, design consultants, contractors, OEMs, and clients

Provide: Final handover documentation and obtain commissioning approvals

Technical Qualifications:

Solid understanding of electrical fundamentals

Preferably experienced with mission-critical infrastructures

Education:

Engineering or Master's degree graduate

Degree in Electrical Engineering or related disciplines

Familiarity with electrical standards (IS/IEC/IEEE), CEA regulations, and grid codes

Experience in testing & commissioning, auditing, or maintaining mission-critical electrical infrastructure for diverse facilities or plants

Behavioral Attributes:

Excellent written documentation capabilities

Willingness to work:

  • On-site locations
  • Night shifts as necessary
  • During shutdown operations
