General Manager

This position will focus on India and with potential for future assignments in other countries in the Indian-Sub Continental region.\n\nAs General Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative sourcing initiatives that align with the company’s strategic goals while addressing the unique challenges of the Indian market. You will play a critical role in managing end-to-end merchandising activities and order management, ensuring that quality standards are met and deliveries are timely. Additionally, your role is to optimize supply chain processes to ensure our operations are efficient, cost-effective, and responsive to market demands.\n\nYou will be tasked with fostering strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, negotiating contract terms, and ensuring compliance with our quality standards.

Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams will be essential in driving initiatives that enhance productivity and operational performance.\n\nQualifications:\nEXPERIENCE OF SUPPLYING GENERAL MERCHANDISE/FOOD/FMCG/NON-FOOD/CLOTHING PRODUCTS TO MAJOR EUROPEAN RETAILERS is essential (your application will not be considered without this experience)\nBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.\nMinimum of 15 years of experience in sourcing operations, merchandising, or related roles, with a proven track record in addressing production and quality issues in large-scale operations.\nStrong influencing skills to collaborate effectively with various function teams and locations\nPro-active, open-minded and adaptable, with a willingness to travel and work in diverse environments.\nEnergetic, eager to capture the opportunities\nExcellent communication, and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to navigate cross-cultural dynamics.\nStrong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams in a fast-paced environment.\nExperience of working outside of India within in the EU is highly advantageous\n\n**Further information given upon successful application and agreement to an NDA**\n**Due to volume, only successful applications will be responded to.
