Job Description – Network Project Engineer Wi-Fi
PURPOSE:

PURPOSE:
- Technical delivery of multiple network projects under Client Program within committed levels to internal and external customers
REQUIREMENTS:
- Network domain knowledge on Wireless technologies
- Hands on experience in integrating Wireless with third party AAA services
- Experience of having successfully delivered network security projects (Minimum 3-5 years in executing projects)
- Design and implement complex network environments as per client requirements.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and escalate production problems per operations processes, affecting the network infrastructure that includes Routers , Switches, Firewalls and Load Balancer
- Good knowledge in Checkpoint, Cisco Firewall, Router, Switch and WiFi device.
- Expert knowledge in service provider level networking with knowledge in TCP/IP, Routing Protocols (Eigrp, OSPF, MPLS, BGP, 802.11)
- Hands-on experience of LAN switching technologies: STP, Trunking, Ether channel
- Implement change requests as per business needs on Routers/Switches/Wi-Fi devices
- Experience in websense and proxy
- Hand on experience on VDC and Port channel design
- Good in IP address Planning and Vlan planning
- Good understanding of IP MPLS technology, QoS, IPSLA, netflow etc.
- Experience working on CoS, QoS, WRED and related quality of service provider
- Ability to do wireless survey's utilizing wardriving concepts
- Ability to troubleshoot and fix co-channel interference on AP's
- Good understanding of high availability fundamentals (HSRP and VRRP)
- Understanding of network protocols like FTP, TFTP, NTP, SNMP, DNS, DHCP
- Demonstrated ability to update SOP's, AS-Built documentation
- Handling and Escalating highly impacting operational issues to upper Management and/or 3rd party vendor escalation
- Perform vendor interaction with internal and external support organizations
- Strong Communication and good customer interaction skills
- ITIL process
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to work on multiple projects
- Understanding technical scope of Work from the PM/Architects
- Ensuring project execution as per agreed methodology and adherence to project schedules and work package completion
- Follow systems, organization processes and unit practices adhere to quality policies
- Configure, deploy and support secure routers and firewalls
- Level 2 security support (L1 – being helpdesk)
- Network security monitoring and analysis
- Recommending network upgrades and security improvements
- Creation of As-Built documents post project completion
- Managing all stakeholders of the project and associated programs
- Tracking/Resolving open issues with all stakeholders till closure
- Timely resolution of customer escalations

- CCNA Security OR CCNP Security - Optional
