Job Description
THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nWe are looking for a seasoned Senior UX Designer to shape how our users experience our products at every touchpoint. With 7+ years of hands-on design practice, you bring deep expertise in user research, interaction design, and systems thinking — translating complex business and user needs into intuitive, elegant product experiences. You will work at the intersection of strategy and craft: informing roadmaps, driving design systems, and mentoring a growing team of designers — all while staying close to the pixels.\n\nREQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS\n\n- 7+ years of hands-on design practice\n\nMust-Have\n\nUser Research & Discovery\n- Plan and conduct mixed-methods user research: in-depth interviews, contextual inquiry, diary studies, surveys, and moderated/unmoderated usability sessions.\n- Synthesize qualitative and quantitative research data into actionable insights, personas, jobs-to-be-done frameworks, and opportunity maps.\n- Collaborate with data analytics teams to pair behavioral data with attitudinal research for a full-spectrum understanding of user behavior.\n- Champion continuous discovery practices — embedding lightweight research rituals into every sprint and feature cycle.\n- Present research findings persuasively to product, engineering, and executive stakeholders, influencing roadmap prioritization.\n\nInteraction Design & Prototyping\n- Own end-to-end interaction design: from rough concept sketches through structured wireframes to pixel-perfect, high-fidelity prototypes.\n- Design complex flows and edge cases with rigor — accounting for error states, empty states, loading states, and responsive breakpoints.\n- Create interactive prototypes in Figma or Framer to communicate behavior, transitions, and micro-interactions to engineers and stakeholders.\n- Apply established design patterns while pushing beyond convention where user needs demand it — balancing familiarity with innovation.\n- Ensure all interaction designs meet WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards; advocate for inclusive design from the earliest stages.\n- Using AI to generate High-fidelity prototyping for complex flows.\n\nDesign Systems & Visual Craft\n- Contribute to and evolve a mature design system: define, document, and maintain components, tokens, patterns, and usage guidelines.\n- Drive design system adoption across product teams; partner with frontend engineers on component implementation and handoff quality.\n- Establish and uphold visual design standards: typography scales, color systems, spacing grids, iconography, and motion guidelines.\n- Conduct design QA against shipped features — reviewing builds against specs and raising regressions with engineers before release.\n\nProduct Strategy & UX Leadership\n- Partner with product managers and engineers from discovery through delivery — contributing UX strategy to feature planning and OKRs.\n- Facilitate design thinking workshops, co-creation sessions, and design sprints with cross-functional stakeholders.\n- Map end-to-end user journeys and service blueprints to identify systemic gaps, friction points, and strategic design opportunities.\n- Define and track UX success metrics — task completion rates, error rates, time-on-task, NPS, and CSAT — alongside product KPIs.\n- Own and communicate the design rationale behind decisions; document design intent in Confluence or Notion for long-term reference.\n\nStakeholder Collaboration & Communication\n- Present design work clearly and confidently to diverse audiences — from weekly sprint reviews to quarterly executive briefings.\n- Translate ambiguous or conflicting stakeholder requirements into clear, actionable design briefs and structured problem statements.\n- Manage design feedback loops constructively: solicit, prioritize, and integrate feedback while maintaining design integrity.\n- Collaborate with engineers on feasibility, trade-offs, and implementation fidelity — advocating for the user experience throughout development.\n\n- Nice-2-have\n- Data visualisation / dashboard UX experience\n- Mobile native design\n- Basic HTML/CSS knowledge for dev handoff
