Quant Analyst

Role: Quant Analyst – Algorithmic Trading Team

Overview

We are looking for a Quant Analyst to join our algorithmic trading team, focused on developing and supporting systematic strategies in Indian equities and derivatives markets. This role sits at the intersection of research, technology, and trading, and involves working closely with multiple teams to build and maintain robust algo-driven products.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct research and develop new trading strategies across medium-frequency (MFT) and low-frequency (LFT) horizons in Indian equities and F&O markets
• Translate research ideas into production-ready strategies through efficient and scalable code
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (tech, data, infra) to ensure smooth functioning and reliability of the algo trading stack from a quantitative perspective
• Work on data-related tasks, infrastructure validations, and overall system robustness to support trading strategies
• Contribute to new initiatives and projects that lie at the intersection of technology and trading
• Continuously evaluate and improve existing strategies based on performance and market conditions

Requirements

• Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++
• Solid understanding of financial markets, especially equities and derivatives, and how trading systems operate
• Ability to think analytically and creatively to generate and refine trading ideas
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with different teams
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, research-driven environment

Required Qualifications :

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Maths or related fields.
• MBA is a plus but not mandatory.

Experience:

• 1+ year of experience in any tech related job.
• Data Science/Engineering is a plus.

Skills:

• Proficiency in programming languages like Python (MUST). Knowledge of MATLAB, R and functional programming is a plus.
