Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Data Architect with strong expertise in Insurance (Life, Annuity, Pre-need) domain to lead end-to-end data architecture, solution design, and domain-driven data initiatives.

The role requires a mix of business understanding, cloud data architecture, and hands-on technical expertise, along with stakeholder management and leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and govern end-to-end data architecture across ingestion, storage, processing, and analytics layers
• Build scalable data models aligned with insurance processes (policy, claims, underwriting, premiums, etc.)
• Architect cloud-based solutions using AWS, Snowflake, and Amazon Redshift
• Drive data integration across source systems, data warehouses, and analytics platforms
• Act as domain lead for Insurance data initiatives
• Translate business requirements into data architecture & technical solutions
• Define and enforce data governance, standards, and best practices
• Provide hands-on expertise in SQL & Python-based transformations
• Support performance tuning, cost optimization, and scalability
• Review data models, solution designs, and code
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams
• Mentor junior data engineers and architects

Required Skills & Experience

• 12+ years of experience in Data Architecture / Data Engineering
• Strong experience in Insurance domain Life & Annuity
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Snowflake, Amazon Redshift
• Expertise in Data Modeling & Data Warehousing
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python
• Experience in data integration (ETL/ELT)
• Knowledge of Dimensional Modeling, Data Lakes
• Exposure to Spark / Scala (good to have)
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience in architecture design and solution delivery

• Regulatory & Compliance Reporting

Nice to Have

• Experience in real-time / near real-time data processing
