Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Fashion Designer based in Kolkata. The Designer will be responsible for designing and creating new concepts for ethnic and fusion wear, including sarees, indo-western and lehenga.
Day-to-day tasks include creating designs, selecting appropriate fabrics and materials, overseeing the production process, ensuring quality standards, researching fashion trends, and collaborating with the embroidery karigars and tailoring team to deliver unique and innovative designs.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Fashion Design and a strong understanding of contemporary fashion trends
- In-depth knowledge of Embroidery techniques and Textile selection
- Skills in Fitting and garment construction to ensure superior quality
- Proficiency in design software and tools is a plus
- Relevant design certifications or a degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field
- Experience in ethnic wear design or bridalwear is highly desirable
