Industrial Design Intern
Job Description
Industrial Design Intern — Build Humanoids for an Interplanetary Future
📍 Kolkata, Onsite · 🗓️ 3-6 months · 💼 Stipend with performance bonus.
We're building humanoid robots. Not for a demo reel — for where humanity is actually headed. If you've ever sketched a robot in the margins of your notes instead of paying attention in class, this one's for you.
We're a startup, which means you won't be fetching coffee or polishing slides nobody reads. You'll be shaping how our humanoid looks, feels, and moves — from the structure underneath to the very last surface curve.
What you'll actually do
- Work on real humanoid development across structural design, assembly design, and surface modeling
- Obsess over the details (the kind most people never notice — but you will)
- Move fast and ship on schedule, the way startups actually run
- Sit at the intersection of design and engineering, where the cool stuff happens
What we're looking for
- Industrial Design background — final-year Bachelor's or a Master's
- Genuine interest in humanoids and robotics (this isn't a \"looks good on the resume\" role)
- Comfortable in Onshape, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, KeyShot, Plasticity, or similar
- A sharp eye for detail and the discipline to deliver under deadlines
- You get how startups operate — ambiguity doesn't scare you, it excites you
Bonus points
- Mechanical engineering background
- You've worked on a robotics project (class, club, hackathon — all count)
- You understand structural design, assembly design, and surface modeling of a humanoid
This is one of the most exciting design challenges out there right now: building the coolest humanoid for an interplanetary future. If that lights you up, we want to see what you've got.
Drop your portfolio. That matters more than a perfect CV.
