We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join the team to build, support, and drive customer innovations, bringing efficiency to business processes through effective management of cost, quality, and delivery.\n\nIn alignment with Avigna’s values, we are committed to providing an inclusive work environment for all employees to positively impact our culture every day.\nExperience: 8+ years\nLocation: India\nMode of work: 100% Remote\n\nResponsibilities:\nDesign, develop, and maintain scalable and high‑performance data engineering solutions using modern cloud and big data technologies.\nBuild and optimize large‑scale data pipelines with strong focus on performance, reliability, and scalability.\nPerform hands‑on coding, debugging, and tuning of data processing workflows using Python and PySpark.\nImplement and support data governance, quality, security, and compliance standards across data platforms.\nTake end‑to‑end ownership of assigned deliverables as an individual contributor, ensuring timely and high‑quality outcomes.\nCollaborate closely with cross‑functional stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient technical solutions.\nProactively recommend optimized technical approaches aligned with industry best practices and organizational standards.\nDrive innovation by leveraging automation, AI capabilities, and modern data engineering methodologies.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system stability, scalability, and overall performance.\n\nQualification:\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.\nStrong hands‑on experience in data engineering within cloud‑based environments.\nProficiency in Python and PySpark for data transformation and processing.\nExperience working with AWS services, Databricks, Snowflake, and AI‑driven solutions.\nSolid problem‑solving skills with the ability to work independently and take ownership.\nExcellent communication skills with proven ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.\n\nWhat we offer:\nAccess to a strong developer community within the company to learn and grow.\nCompetitive salary, good work‑life balance, along with health and life insurance.
