This role will be responsible for securing and managing insurance coverage across multiple jurisdictions, supporting claims processes, and driving proactive risk mitigation strategies.

This position is based in India and will work closely with global stakeholders across finance, legal, operations, and campus teams.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nInsurance Portfolio Management\nLead the placement, renewal, and optimization of insurance programs across 8+ countries, including the India campus business\nManage relationships with brokers, insurers, and external advisors to ensure competitive coverage and pricing\nEvaluate coverage needs across directors & officers, property, liability, cyber, employee-related, and other relevant insurance lines\nEnsure compliance with local regulatory and statutory insurance requirements across jurisdictions\nClaims Management\nOversee end-to-end claims management process, including reporting, documentation, negotiation, and settlement\nPartner with internal stakeholders and insurers to ensure timely and favorable resolution of claims\nMaintain claims data and analytics to identify trends and areas for improvement\nRisk Management & Mitigation\nIdentify, assess, and prioritize enterprise risks across business units and geographies, in partnership with the GRC Team\nDevelop and implement risk mitigation strategies, policies, and controls\nPartner with cross-functional teams (Legal, Finance, Operations, HR) to embed risk awareness into business processes\nGovernance & Reporting\nMaintain documentation of policies, coverage, and risk frameworks\nProvide regular reporting to leadership on insurance costs, claims, and risk exposure\nSupport internal audits and compliance initiatives related to insurance and risk\n\nQualifications & Experience:\n6–10 years of experience in insurance and risk management, preferably in a multinational environment\nStrong understanding of global insurance programs and multi-country risk considerations\nExperience managing claims across different jurisdictions\nFamiliarity with regulatory requirements in India and other international markets\nBachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., ARM, CPCU, FRM) are a plus\n\nKey Skills:\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nExcellent stakeholder management and communication abilities\nNegotiation skills with insurers and brokers\nAbility to manage complexity across geographies and business units\nHigh attention to detail and ownership mindset\n\nWhy Join Emeritus:\nWork in a global, mission-driven organization transforming education\nExposure to international markets and cross-border operations\nCollaborative and fast-paced environment with high impact\n\nEmeritus provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.\n\nIn press:\nhttps://inc42.com/buzz/edtech-startup-eruditus-fy23-revenue-crosses-inr-3000-cr-mark\nhttps://www.outlookbusiness.com/start-up/news/eruditus-secures-150-million-funding-for-ai-expansion…
