Logistics Executive (Export – Engineering Goods)

Role Purpose

This role is intended for a specialized export logistics professional, The Logistics Executive will be responsible for end-to-end export execution of engineering goods and equipment, with strong hands-on exposure to export documentation, Incoterms, customs clearance, and coordination with multiple external agencies.

Key Responsibilities - Export Operations

• Manage end to end export logistics for engineering goods, machinery, fabricated items, and project equipment.
• Handle exports to Africa, Middle East, Europe, or other international markets.
• Plan shipments based on cargo nature (breakbulk / containerized / ODC) and project timelines.

Incoterms & Commercial Understanding

• Execute shipments as per agreed Incoterms (EXW, FOB, CIF, CFR, DAP, etc.).
• Ensure correct allocation of cost, risk, and responsibility.

Export Documentation

• Commercial Invoice and Packing List (including dimensions and weights).
• Shipping Bill, Bill of Lading / AWB.
• Certificate of Origin / GSP and insurance documents.
• Ensure documentation accuracy and compliance.

Customs & External Coordination

• Liaise with Customs Clearing Agents (CHA) for clearance activities.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, cargo companies, and transporters.
• Resolve customs queries and clearance issues.

Shipment Execution & Tracking

• Monitor cargo movement from factory to port and shipment departure.
• Provide shipment status updates to stakeholders.

Compliance & Improvement

• Ensure compliance with export regulations, DGFT norms, and internal SOPs.
• Propose process improvements for efficiency and standardization.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• 10-12 years in export logistics of engineering goods or equipment.
• Exposure to Africa, Middle East, or Europe exports.
• Graduation in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
