This role is focused on building robust, scalable, and high-quality software systems through advanced test automation and quality engineering practices in a fast-paced, global delivery environment. You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of complex applications by designing and executing automated testing frameworks across multiple layers of the SDLC. Working closely with engineering, product, and customer-facing teams, you will help embed quality at every stage of development and release cycles. The environment is highly collaborative, with strong emphasis on automation, continuous improvement, and modern engineering practices. This position also involves supporting US-based teams in a late IST shift, ensuring seamless global coverage. It is ideal for a quality-focused engineer who enjoys solving technical challenges and improving product reliability at scale.

Accountabilities:

Design, build, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks to ensure high-quality software delivery across functional, regression, integration, and performance testing cycles.

  • Develop and execute automated regression, smoke, and integration test suites to validate application functionality and stability
  • Identify, document, and track defects while collaborating with engineering teams to ensure timely resolution and quality improvements
  • Maintain and enhance test automation repositories using GitHub and integrate testing into CI/CD workflows
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and customer teams to define test strategies and incorporate user feedback into quality processes
  • Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and release readiness activities to ensure accurate delivery timelines and quality expectations
  • Monitor application behavior, escalate risks, and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and standards

Requirements:

This role requires extensive experience in software quality engineering with strong automation expertise and hands-on development skills in modern testing frameworks and scripting languages.

  • 7+ years of experience in software quality assurance with 5+ years in test automation development
  • Strong experience with Ruby-on-Rails along with programming/scripting in JavaScript, TypeScript, SQL, or Gherkin
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Playwright, Jest, Puppeteer, Postman, or JMeter
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD tools and platforms such as GitHub Actions and test orchestration workflows
  • Experience with production monitoring and support tools such as Datadog, PagerDuty, or similar systems
  • Knowledge of QA methodologies, quality control processes, and data or security testing practices
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong quality-first engineering mindset
