Senior Data Engineer (MSBI)
Must-Have Skills (Core 4)
1. Strong SQL / T-SQL
Advanced querying, performance tuning, stored procedures, indexing
Hands-on with SSMS and complex data transformations
2. SSIS (ETL Development)
Designing and developing ETL pipelines using SSIS
Handling data migration, transformation, and scheduling jobs
3. Data Warehousing Concepts
Strong understanding of star/snowflake schema
Experience in designing fact/dimension models and data marts
4. SSRS / Reporting
Developing and maintaining reports using SSRS
Exposure to report optimization and parameterisation
Nice-to-Have Skills (Add-ons 4)
1. SSAS / OLAP Cubes
Experience with multidimensional/tabular models
2. Power BI / Visualisation
Dashboard development, DAX basics, data modelling
3. Performance Tuning & Optimisation
Query tuning, ETL performance improvement, indexing strategies
4. Cloud Exposure
Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Synapse or similar platforms
Optional Add-ons (If you want a stronger JD)
Experience with DevOps (CI/CD for ETL)
