The Work You’ll Do: Product Owner
As a Product Owner at Sovos, you’ll be the bridge between strategic vision and technical execution. You’ll shape features that empower over 100,000 businesses worldwide to stay compliant with confidence.
You’ll collaborate with engineering, UX design, and crossfunctional teams in an agile environment where your decisions directly influence product direction and customer success.
Key Responsibilities:

Act as the primary liaison between product management and engineering

Own and maintain product backlogs, aligning with strategic roadmaps

Gather and synthesize requirements from stakeholders and market research

Coordinate mockups, prototypes, and specifications for development teams

Write and oversee product requirements throughout the lifecycle

Lead user acceptance testing, alpha/beta programs, and ensure product quality

Manage bug prioritization and resolution with engineering

Communicate progress to stakeholders with transparency

Mentor team members on Product Owner best practices
What We’re Looking For
-
4+ years in product management, business analysis, or product development
-
Strong understanding of agile/scrum frameworks and Product Owner role
-
Experience in B2B SaaS preferred
-
Excellent decisionmaking, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
-
Proven track record of backlog prioritization and delivering business impact
-
Ability to collaborate across multiple teams and disciplines
-
Willingness to travel minimally (<25%) domestically and internationally
-
Background check clearance required due to client obligations
