Roles & responsibilities
The Senior will be predominantly responsible to -
A. Audit Delivery, Stakeholder Interaction & Execution
Lead audit service delivery for assigned engagements and demonstrate strong understanding and knowledge of industry specific audit procedures
Coordinate day-to-day activities between audit team and client and ensure information flows though and exchanged efficiently
Supervise and Review engagement audit documentation prepared by GDC / US Associates and Interns, by providing review notes, coaching and timely feedback on the work.
Raise any issues identified on a timely basis to the GDC managers, rotational and US Manager / Partner, as well as seek possible resolution from them.
Identify additional areas of work which adds value to overall engagement and transition them to GDC
Identify opportunities to standardize and optimize audit processes across a portfolio of clients and industries
Demonstrate professionalism, industry competence and clarity of communication when working with engagement team
B. Team Management, Development and Stakeholder Collaboration
Provide clarifications, train and mentor associates on a timely basis on industry specific audit and accounting knowledge and client specific matters on audit work papers
Work on improvement in audit work papers based on addressing review notes and engagement team feedback
Support the design and execution of an engagements audit approach and procedures in accordance with relevant regulatory professional auditing and assurance standards and applicable US firm guidance and KPMG methodology.
Develop self by participating in and developing others by facilitating audit conceptual trainings and ensuring that team members are trained
Be a performance manager to guide and coach GDC professionals on career advancement and provide continuous feedback throughout the performance year on their development areas
Actively participate in overall performance development and feedback process at GDC
Conduct timely performance reviews and provide performance feedback/training. Lead by example.
Take steps to inculcate the GDC Culture in team and take strategic measures to improve the overall GPS (Global Pulse Survey) Score of the organization
This role is for you if you have the below
Educational qualifications
Qualified CA / US CPA and minimum of Bachelors' degree in Finance & Accounting with first division (60%)
3+ years of post-qualification experience along with strong Articleship experience from a mid-size or a Big 4 firm in case of CA
Work experience
Experience with Big 4/leading Audit firms or their shared service center would be preferred
Experience in US Asset Management industry (Mutual Funds, Hedge Funds, Private Equity and Building Construction and Real Estate)- integrated and Non - integrated financial statement audit.

Mandatory technical & functional skills
Knowledge of US GAAP and international auditing standards
Strong knowledge of MS Office and MS Outlook
Strong English communication abilities (Oral & Written) and effective audit documentation skills
Effective interpersonal, risk management, facilitation and presentation skills
Should possess strong project management, leadership, coaching counselling and supervisory skills
