Job Purpose
The Fashion Writer will be responsible for the creation and production of short and long-form fashion content for the publications website and other digital platforms. This includes commissioning and writing articles, managing freelancers, and ensuring all content meets the publications standards of quality and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the editorial strategy for the Style section in collaboration with the Fashion Editor, covering fashion, accessories, jewellery, watches, and weddings.
- Research, commission, write, and edit high-quality fashion content for digital platforms.
- Generate and pitch original story ideas during editorial meetings.
- Produce a diverse range of content including designer interviews, trend features, cultural commentary, shopping listicles, and market stories.
- Contribute regularly to The Nods weekly Salon newsletter.
- Upload and manage content through the CMS.
- Collaborate with art and photo teams on image research, story presentation, and social media packaging.
- Identify emerging designers, labels, and fashion trends ahead of the mainstream market.
- Build and maintain relationships with designers, stylists, brand PR teams, and industry stakeholders.
- Represent the publication at fashion weeks, launches, and industry events.
- Support the conceptualization and execution of editorial IPs, including video formats and events.
