Role Overview

The Applied Scientist at Inception is responsible for developing and optimizing advanced AI models across domains such as computer vision, NLP, and multimodal systems, translating research into scalable, real-world applications.

This role is a full-time position based in India (remote).

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize advanced AI/ML models using state-of-the-art techniques

• Analyze complex, large-scale datasets to extract insights and improve model performance

• Develop multimodal AI systems combining text, image, audio, and structured data

• Translate research and experimental models into scalable, production-ready solutions

• Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy, optimize, and maintain models in production

• Conduct rigorous experimentation, evaluation, and benchmarking of models

• Contribute to the advancement of AI capabilities through continuous research and innovation

• Support development of POCs and ensure successful transition into production systems

• Identify business use cases where AI can deliver measurable impact and efficiency

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in AI, Computer Science, or related field

• Strong experience in developing AI/ML models across multiple domains

• Expertise in areas such as NLP, CV, speech, or multimodal AI

• Experience in applied research or production-level AI development

• Strong understanding of modern ML frameworks and large-scale data processing

• Ability to translate research into scalable product solutions

The successful candidate will be engaged via an external workforce partner in line with Inception’s operating model in the region.
