Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain should-cost models for components, assemblies, and products
• Analyze materials, manufacturing processes, labor, overhead, and supply chain costs
• Support supplier negotiations by providing fact-based cost breakdowns
• Collaborate with engineering teams to evaluate design-to-cost opportunities
• Conduct benchmarking and cost analysis across suppliers and regions
• Identify cost reduction opportunities and drive value engineering initiatives
• Review supplier quotations and validate pricing against internal cost models
• Monitor market trends (raw materials, labor rates, etc.) impacting cost structures
• Prepare detailed cost reports and present findings to stakeholders

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• 3–7+ years of experience in cost engineering, manufacturing, or procurement

Preferred Qualifications & Key Skills
• Experience in industries such as automotive, aerospace, or industrial manufacturing
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes preferably in Electronics products
• Experience with cost modeling tools and advanced Excel skills
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Knowledge of Excel based Should Cost / should-costing software
• Communication & presentation skills
