In this role, you will contribute to the development of high-performance backend systems that power large-scale identity verification and digital trust solutions used globally. You will design and build scalable microservices and APIs that directly impact system speed, accuracy, and reliability in critical user journeys. Working in a cross-functional engineering environment, you will collaborate closely with Product, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver robust features from concept to production. The role combines hands-on backend engineering with system design ownership, encouraging strong technical leadership and architectural thinking. You will help improve engineering standards, testing practices, and deployment processes while working on distributed systems at scale. Accountabilities:

You will be responsible for building and enhancing scalable backend services that support high-volume identity verification workflows, ensuring strong performance, reliability, and maintainability across distributed systems.

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot, following best practices for scalability and security
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to refine requirements and translate them into clear technical solutions and implementation plans
  • Work closely with QA engineers to improve test coverage, automation, and overall product quality across releases
  • Partner with DevOps teams to support deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and production stability
  • Contribute to system design discussions, architectural improvements, and long-term platform evolution
  • Participate in continuous improvement of engineering practices, tools, and development workflows

Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings strong backend engineering expertise, experience with distributed systems, and a solid understanding of modern software development practices in enterprise environments.

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience with strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot
  • Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, SQL databases, JPA, Git, and build tools such as Maven or Gradle
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, design patterns, and scalable backend architecture
  • Experience working across the full software development lifecycle in collaboration with Product, Engineering, and DevOps teams
  • Ability to write secure, high-quality, and maintainable code with attention to performance and reliability
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and effective communication in English
  • Exposure to microservices, cloud environments, or containerized systems is a plus
