Assistant Manager - Casting & Forging
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Review purchase requisitions and release purchase orders on suppliers.

Collaborate with local and overseas suppliers to ensure availability of material as per execution plan to maintain service level above 95%.

Proactively identifying risks and escalating challenges (if any) to meet expected deliveries.

Periodically reviewing and updating master data including KANBAN maintained in system.

Coordinating with colleagues from planning team to provide them status against pending purchase orders.
-
Coordinating with colleagues from planning team to provide necessary visibility along with confirmation on technical feasibility while quoting big projects.

Coordinating with global supply chain team, stores, logistic, quality, production, and finance teams to resolve issues related to Procure to Pay (P2P) cycle in casting/forging categories.

Implementing ECN actions in collaboration with other stakeholders.

Identifying challenges in supply chain and working on time bound plans to mitigate the same in coordination with global supply chain team.

Attending internal and external audits.

Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best lead times and cost (wherever required).

Prepare and submit monthly / quarterly / annual management information reports related to supply chain.

To support and motivate team members.

Suggesting and implementing improvements in P2P process.

For This Role, You Will Need:

Degree in Mechanical, Production engineering or any related or equivalent field

Minimum 7 years' experience in purchasing / procurement / supply chain with minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience in handing casting / forging commodities.

Detailed understanding of supply chain processes and commercial terms.

Excellent negotiation skill and interpersonal skill.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Knowledge of import process and outsourcing process.

Exposure of procuring fabricated and buyout parts.

Detailed foundry process knowledge will be an advantage.

Capable of describing and documenting processes.
