Requirements

Experience

4 to 6 years of experience in product design, UX design, or design engineering

Prior experience working at companies specializing in CAD, PLM, simulation, or engineering software (such as Autodesk, Dassault Systemes, Siemens, PTC, ANSYS, Altair, or similar)

Demonstrated experience designing desktop applications with a clear understanding of the distinct patterns and limitations of native app design compared to web design

A strong portfolio showcasing full ownership of design projects from research to final product delivery

Skills

In-depth knowledge of engineering workflows and the mental frameworks of mechanical engineers, manufacturing engineers, or designers

Expertise in design tools, including Figma for UI/UX design, along with familiarity with prototyping tools

Experience in creating and maintaining design systems and scalable component libraries

Excellent visual design abilities, with keen attention to typography, color, spacing, and visual hierarchy

Effective communication skills to clearly articulate design choices to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
