Backend AWS Terraform Engineer

Detailed JD (Roles and Responsibilities)

Seeking an experienced Backend AWS Terraform Engineer to design, implement, and maintain scalable backend infrastructure for telecom applications. The role involves working closely with development and operations teams to ensure robust, secure, and automated cloud environments.

· Design and implement AWS-based backend infrastructure using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

· Develop and maintain Terraform modules and templates for reusable infrastructure components.

· Automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment of backend services.

· Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of cloud resources.

· Collaborate with DevOps, development, and architecture teams to integrate infrastructure with CI/CD pipelines.

· Monitor and optimize cloud resource utilization and cost.

· Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and provide timely resolutions.

· Maintain proper documentation for infrastructure design and changes.

· Stay updated with AWS services, Terraform best practices, and emerging cloud technologies.

· Work in Agile/Scrum environments and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Mandatory skills

· Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, etc.).

· Expertise in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.

· Solid understanding of networking concepts, security policies, and cloud architecture.

· Experience in automation scripting (Python, Shell, or similar).

· Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration with infrastructure provisioning.

· Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Desired skills

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

· Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

· Exposure to monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana).

· Certification in AWS Solutions Architect or Terraform Associate.

· Telecom domain experience is a plus.
