Job Description: IT Storage and Back Up Engineer Key Skills- Veeam, NetApp, VAST, PMAX, PURE, Unity Responsibilities Monitor storage and backup systems for performance, capacity, and availability. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as firmware updates, patching, and backups. Troubleshoot and resolve storage and backup-related issues. Ensure data integrity and security. Maintain documentation of storage and backup configurations and procedures. Storage Builds Design and implement new storage solutions based on business requirements. Configure storage arrays, SANNAS systems, and related infrastructure. Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate storage solutions with existing systems. Test and validate new storage deployments to ensure they meet performance and reliability standards. Storage Migrations Plan and execute data migrations between storage systems with minimal downtime. Develop migration strategies and timelines. Coordinate with application owners and other stakeholders to ensure successful migrations. Validate data integrity and performance post-migration. Backup Management Design and implement backup strategies to ensure data protection and recovery. Configure and manage backup software and hardware. Perform regular backup jobs and ensure successful completion. Test and validate backup and recovery processes. Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans. Expected Deliverables Daily Operations Daily weekly monthly performance and capacity reports. Incident and problem resolution documentation. Updated storage and backup system documentation and diagrams. Regular backup and recovery test reports. Storage Builds Detailed design and implementation plans for new storage solutions.
