• 8+ years of hands-on experience as a MySQL DBA in production environments.
• Design, implement, and maintain MySQL database systems for high availability and scalability.
• Perform database tuning, optimization, and performance monitoring.
• Manage backup and recovery strategies, including point-in-time recovery and disaster recovery planning.
• Ensure data integrity and security, including user access controls and encryption.
• Monitor and troubleshoot replication issues, slow queries, and locking problems.
• Implement and maintain high availability solutions such as clustering and replication (e.g., Master-Slave, Group Replication).
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize queries and schema design.
• Automate routine tasks using shell scripting or Python.
• Maintain documentation for database configurations, procedures, and standards.
• Stay updated with the latest MySQL features and best practices.
• Strong understanding of MySQL architecture, InnoDB, query optimization, and indexing.
• Experience with replication, clustering, and backup tools (e.g., Percona XtraBackup).
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS RDS, Azure Database for MySQL, GCP).
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
