Detailed JD (Roles and Responsibilities)

  • Project Management: oversee the planning, execution, and completion of the adoption of GCP Zürich region (Google Cloud Platform)
  • Adoption scope: this will involve (1) upgrading the controls of HClient's Group-wide GCP platform to ensure that Swiss requirements around data protection are met;
    (2) refining platform architecture with the help of HClient's Group Cloud Services team to enable control upgrade; (3) confirm network requirements; (4) design operating model
    in terms of GCP support setup and GCP project lifecycle management, and (5) contractual aspects (country adoption agreements etc.)
  • Orchestration: the project requires significant orchestration and collaboration across country teams (IT, Cyber, legal, procurement) and group teams (esp. HClient's Group Cloud Services team responsible for the Group GCP platform).
  • Relevant metrics: ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Client/Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and other project stakeholders. Foster strong relationships and regularly communicate project status, updates, and progress. Address any concerns or issues promptly.
  • Resource Allocation: Identify and allocate the necessary resources (human, financial, and technical) to ensure successful project execution.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth coordination and cooperation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks and issues that may impact project success. Develop and implement mitigation plans to address them.
  • Problem Articulation: Proven ability to articulate complex issues concisely and in simple language to recognize to the global remit of this role.
  • Budget and Cost Control: Monitor project budgets and expenses, make adjustment as necessary to stay within budget constraints.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and comply with the agreed-upon specifications.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance project management efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Foster a high engagement team to deliver good quality outputs which exceed user expectation

Mandatory skills

  • Proven project management experience involving distributed technology teams, internal and 3rd party, as well as procurement and legal functions.
  • Proven experience with GCP technology adoption in a Financial Services organisation
  • Familiarity with Swiss data protection and banking secrecy regime (experience highly desirable)
  • Desirable: Hands-on experience in the deployment of applications on GCP desirable
  • University graduate in related disciplines or other relevant qualifications, such as Business Administration, Project Management, or a related discipline
  • Relevant certifications in project management, such as PMP (Project Management Professional) and GCP
  • Very strong knowledge and hands on experience on Project Management tools – JIRA, confluence, ITSA,, Cyberflows, GIAM, Service Now (including ITSM)

Desired skills

  • Strong leadership and people management skills to motivate and guide project teams.
  • Knowledge of Scaled Agile framework, Agile methodology and must have worked in cross functional teams that are well versed with Agile and DevOps
  • Ability to analyze complex situations, identify solutions, and make informed decisions.
  • A customer-centric mindset, understanding the importance of meeting clients' needs and expectations.
  • Good sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; presentation skills preferred.
