| Description: "Seeking an experienced Mainframe CICS Developer to design, develop, and support CICS-based applications on IBM z/OS. The role requires strong technical expertise in COBOL, CICS, DB2, and JCL, with hands-on problem-solving abilities and a focus on performance and reliability. Key Responsibilities Develop and enhance online applications using COBOL, CICS, DB2, VSAM. Build and maintain CICS components: programs, Client maps, COMMAREA, channels/containers. Analyze requirements, prepare technical designs, perform coding, unit testing, and integration testing. Troubleshoot and resolve abends (ASRA, AEY9, AEI0), DB2 SQL errors, and performance issues. Work with MQ, file structures, and batch interfaces where required. Support deployments, production issues, and participate in on-call rotations. Ensure adherence to coding standards, documentation, and audit/security guidelines. Collaborate with QA, Infra, Architecture, and Business teams for smooth delivery. Required Skills Proficiency in COBOL, CICS TS, DB2 SQL, JCL, VSAM. Strong understanding of pseudo-conversational programming, sync/async processing, and performance tuning. Experience with debugging tools (CEDF, Abend-AID, Fault Analyzer). Good knowledge of transaction flow, COMMAREA/channels, TSQs/TDQs. Ability to analyze system logs, dumps, and performance metrics.
