Detailed JD (Roles and Responsibilities)

Role Overview:

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Design ServiceNow Service Mapping solutions aligned with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM).
Develop high-level diagram and detailed designs for Service Map implementation.
Design integration solutions with other systems and platforms i.e. Monitoring mapping etc.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and execute the implementation of ServiceNow SAM and HAM modules.+B14:B20B10B14:B23B14:B21B14:B22

Conduct workshops to gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Configure and customize SAM/HAM workflows, policies, and lifecycle processes.

Integrate SAM/HAM with CMDB, Discovery, Procurement, and third-party tools (e.g., SCCM, JAMF, Flexera).

Develop and maintain asset normalization, reconciliation, and license compliance rules.

Support data migration, cleansing, and enrichment activities for asset records.

Create reports and dashboards for asset tracking, software compliance, and optimization.

Provide knowledge transfer and training to client teams on SAM/HAM usage and best practices.

Collaborate with ServiceNow architects and developers to ensure alignment with platform standards.

Stay current with ServiceNow releases and ITAM trends to recommend improvements.

Required Skills & Experience:

5+ years of experience in IT Asset Management with at least 2 full-cycle implementations of ServiceNow SAM and/or HAM.

Strong understanding of ITIL and ITAM lifecycle processes.

Hands-on experience with ServiceNow platform configuration, scripting (JavaScript), and integrations.

Familiarity with software license models (per user, per device, subscription, etc.) and compliance frameworks.

Experience with ServiceNow Discovery, CMDB, and integration with external asset sources.

Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – ITAM / SAM (preferred).

Nice to Have:

Experience with Agile delivery methodologies.

Exposure to vendor management and contract management processes.

Knowledge of ServiceNow Performance Analytics and Reporting.
