Job Description
The Senior Product Manager is responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing activities related to a specific product or a group of products within the Clearwater system. This includes defining the product, planning its development, production and go‑to‑market strategies, and creating the product roadmap to achieve bookings, client NPS, and gross margin targets.\n\nResponsibilities\n\n- Lead a team of 8‑15 developers, providing guidance, support, and training.\n- Own the product within the Clearwater system and manage its entire lifecycle from ideation to launch.\n- Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals and stakeholder expectations.\n- Define clear and comprehensive requirements for feature development.\n- Collaborate with development teams on the design and building of new features, ensuring they meet client needs and market demands.\n- Develop and communicate the product roadmap, setting strategic direction for future enhancements and features.\n- Maintain regular communication with stakeholders regarding product updates, roadmap progress, and functionality releases.\n- Actively engage with clients to understand their use cases and future needs, translating insights into actionable product enhancements.\n- Measure and analyze the success of new feature releases, using data‑driven insights to inform future product decisions.\n- Serve as a subject matter expert in alternative investments, providing insights and support to the sales team and contributing to product strategy.\n- Participate in large‑scale initiatives to promote employee retention or engagement and contribute to a positive workplace culture.\n- Teach and guide other teams toward effective processes and best practices to enhance overall productivity and collaboration.\n\nRequired Skills\n\n- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills in ambiguous situations.\n- Proven ability to collaborate across sales, product management, operations, and technology.\n- In‑depth knowledge of Private Markets, Private Equity, or Private Credit and a solid understanding of the financial services landscape.\n- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong computer skills.\n- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and documentation abilities.\n- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.\n- Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to influence and engage stakeholders.\n- Exceptional problem‑solving capabilities, especially in a fast‑paced environment.\n- Familiarity with Generative AI and agentic AI technologies.\n\nEducation and Experience\n\n- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering, Finance, or a related field.\n- Minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience in product management or related roles.\n- At least 4+ years of professional experience in Investment Management, Operations, or Accounting.\n- Demonstrated experience in client engagement, with a focus on understanding and addressing client needs.\n- Proven experience in data visualization and analytics.\n- Experience in writing business requirements for a financial technology product or service.\n- Prior experience delivering presentations to clients and internal stakeholders.\n- Knowledge of Alternative Investments, including Private Equity, Limited Partnerships, Mortgage Loans, Bank Loans, or Derivatives.\n\nWe are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace.
