Job Description: We are looking for a Hands‑on IoT Architect with expertise in AWS IoT Greengrass and Java/Python to lead the design and deployment of edge computing solutions in the healthcare domain for our PCS Service Technology Team. The role involves architecting secure, scalable, and HIPAA‑compliant IoT systems that connect medical devices and edge gateways to the cloud, enabling real‑time data processing, analytics, and remote monitoring.\n\nResponsibilities\n\n- Architect and implement edge computing solutions using AWS IoT Greengrass Core for healthcare devices.\n- Design and develop Java/Python‑based microservices and Greengrass components.\n- Ensure HIPAA‑compliant data handling and secure communication between edge devices and AWS cloud.\n- Integrate with AWS services such as IoT Core, Lambda, and S3.\n- Lead proof‑of‑concept (PoC) initiatives.\n- Mentor developers and engineers on best practices for IoT and cloud‑native development.\n\nQualifications\n\n- Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.\n- Minimum 14+ years of experience in software development with Java and Python.\n- 3+ years of hands‑on experience with AWS IoT Greengrass Core (v2 preferred).\n- Strong understanding of IoT protocols (MQTT/MQTTS) and edge computing patterns.\n- Familiarity with AWS security best practices, including IAM, encryption, and secure device provisioning.\n- Experience with Kubernetes, Linux‑based edge devices, and CI/CD pipelines.\n\nDesired Characteristics\n\n- AWS Certified Solutions Architect.\n- Experience with OTA updates and device fleet management.\n- Clear thinker & problem solver who proactively identifies and clears roadblocks for the team.\n- Self‑starter, energizing, results‑oriented, and able to multi‑task.\n\nInclusion & Diversity\n\nGE HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer where inclusion matters.
