Job Description

Scope of Role\n\nPower Electronics (OBC, DC-DC, inverters – preferred), EV/PHEV charging systems and architectures, HV/LV electrical systems and interfaces\n\nArea of Responsibility\n\nTechnical Leadership\n\n- Lead development of Power Electronics and Charging Modules (OBC, DC-DC converters, HV/LV interfaces, charging inlets, related ECUs).\n- Own system requirements definition, cascading, and validation from vehicle-level down to component-level.\n- Drive technical decision-making, design reviews, and architecture selection.\n- Ensure compliance with automotive standards, safety, EMC, and regulatory requirements.\n\nProgram & Delivery Ownership\n\n- Lead commodity development from KO to SOP, including concept, design freeze, DV, PV, and launch support.\n- Ensure achievement of QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) targets.\n- Manage engineering deliverables in alignment with program milestones and gateways.\n- Lead issue resolution, root cause analysis, and corrective actions across development phases.\n\nSupplier & Stakeholder Management\n\n- Act as technical interface to suppliers, managing RFQs, technical evaluations, and supplier performance.\n- Review and approve supplier designs, DFMEA, DVP&R, validation results, and PPAP documentation.\n- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Vehicle Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, NVH, Thermal, Packaging, and Safety.\n\nValidation, Quality & Compliance\n\n- Define and approve DVP&R, test plans, and validation strategies.\n- Ensure compliance with functional safety (ISO 26262), ASPICE, EMC, thermal, and durability requirements.\n- Support quality activities such as 8D, lessons learned, and continuous improvement.\n\nMentorship & Governance\n\n- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.\n- Establish best practices, standardization, and knowledge management for the commodity.\n- Support strategic roadmap development for future power electronics and charging technologies.\n\nTools - MATLAB / Simulink, ASPICE, ISO 26262\n\nKnowledge / Experience – 4 to 8 Years\n\nEssential:\n\n- DC-Dc converter, inverter, power electronics + charging module experience.\n- Package interaction from mechanical and electrical side.\n- HVJB experience preferred.\n- Ownership mindset, problem solving, customer focus.\n\nQualification:\n\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical / Electronics / Power Electronics / Automotive Engineering or related discipline.
