Job Description
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in general corporate law, commercial contracting, regulatory advisory, and legal documentation, with a preferable background in the real estate sector. This role will involve direct engagement with internal stakeholders, regulatory authorities, and external counsel to ensure legal compliance and manage risk effectively across business operations.\n\nJob Specification:\n\n• Qualifications: LLB from a recognized university; candidates with CS will be an added advantage\n\n• Experience : 5 – 8 years of post-qualification experience, preferably with exposure to real estate companies or projects.\n\n• Sound knowledge of contract law, property laws, RERA, Companies Act, and general commercial law.\n\n• Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.\n\n• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to manage time efficiently, close issues quickly and effectively.\n\n• Should be a self-starter.\n\n• Proficient in MS Office and legal research tools.\n\nRoles & Responsibilities:\n\n1.
Corporate Legal & Advisory\n\n• Provide end-to-end legal support for day-to-day business operations.\n\n• Advise business teams on general corporate and commercial legal issues, including risk assessment and mitigation.\n\n• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal agreements (NDAs, vendor agreements, consultancy contracts, lease deeds, MOUs, LOIs, etc.).\n\n• Support compliance requirements including with company laws, RERA etc.\n\n2. Real Estate Legal (Preferred Experience Area)\n\n• Review and vet sale deeds, lease deeds, joint development agreements, and land aggregation documentation.\n\n• Coordinate with external counsel and consultants for title search reports and land records and encumbrance checks.\n• Advise on RERA compliance and registration-related matters.\n\n3. Dispute Management\n\n• Draft legal notices, responses, and support internal teams in pre-litigation strategy.\n\n• Represent the company in front of quasi-judicial authorities and coordinate with external legal resources for court appearances, if required.\n\n4.
Compliance & Regulatory\n\n• Managing statutory compliance with laws pertaining to – labour, Companies Act, IT, real estate, Shops & Establishments and other laws that may govern the business of the Company.\n\n• Support periodic compliance audits and maintain legal documentation and records.\n\n• Assist in filings and correspondence with company secretary, government departments and stakeholders.\n\n5. Stakeholder & Documentation Support\n\n• Work closely with business, finance, HR, and operations teams for legal input on transactions and strategic initiatives.\n\n• Maintain legal database, contract repository, and track key obligations and deadlines.\n\n#J-18808-Ljbffr
