Quality Assurance Engineer

We are looking for a Junior Quality Engineer to support quality assurance activities in a manufacturing setup. The role focuses on PPAP, APQP documentation , 8D problem-solving , and handling of standard metrology instruments to ensure product quality and customer compliance.

• Support APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) activities and maintain related documentation
• Assist in preparation and submission of PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) documents
• Participate in 8D problem-solving for internal and customer quality issues
• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections as per control plans
• Handle and operate metrology instruments , including:
• Vernier calipers
• Micrometers
• Height gauges
• Dial indicators
• Bore gauges
• Go / No-Go gauges
• Profile projector / CMM (basic level, if applicable)
• Ensure proper calibration, storage, and usage of measuring instruments
• Identify, record, and report non-conformances
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions (as part of 8D)
• Assist during internal audits and customer audits
• Maintain quality inspection records and reports
• Coordinate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues

• Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering or related field
• Knowledge of PPAP, APQP, and 8D methodology
• Hands-on experience or training in metrology and inspection instruments
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings & GD&T (basic)

• Familiarity with IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 standards
• Basic understanding of SPC and MSA
• Good documentation and reporting skills
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
• Willingness to work on the shop floor
