Solar Site Manager – 100 MW Solar Project (Job Description)\nJob Title\nSolar Site Manager / Project Site Manager – 100 MW Utility Scale Solar Project\nJob Location\nProject Site Location (Utility Scale Solar Plant) - Tamil Nadu (Chennai / Trichy would be the job location)\nReporting To\nProject Director / Project Head / EPC Head\nJob Summary\nThe Solar Site Manager is responsible for complete on-site execution, coordination, supervision, and delivery of a 100 MW utility-scale solar power project. The role includes managing civil, mechanical, electrical, and commissioning activities while ensuring safety, quality, schedule adherence, and cost control.\nThe Site Manager acts as the primary authority at site and coordinates with EPC contractors, subcontractors, consultants, vendors, local authorities, and client representatives to achieve successful project completion.\nKey Responsibilities\n1. Site Execution & Project Management\nLead complete site execution activities for the 100 MW solar PV project.\nMonitor daily construction progress against project schedule.\nEnsure timely installation of:\nModule mounting structures\nSolar PV modules\nString inverters / central inverters\nSCB/SMB systems\nTransformers\nHT/LT cable networks\nSwitchyard and transmission line works\nCoordinate civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical teams.\nEnsure milestone achievement as per EPC contract.\n2.

Planning & Scheduling\nPrepare and track weekly/monthly construction schedules.\nCoordinate with planning engineers for manpower and material forecasting.\nIdentify delays and implement recovery plans.\nEnsure adherence to commissioning timelines.\n3. Contractor & Vendor Management\nSupervise EPC contractors and subcontractors.\nReview contractor productivity and quality performance.\nCoordinate with suppliers for timely material delivery.\nVerify contractor billing and work completion.\n4. Quality Assurance & Quality Control\nEnsure work execution complies with:\nApproved drawings\nTechnical specifications\nQuality standards\nClient requirements\nConduct regular quality inspections.\nEnsure proper testing and documentation:\nCable testing\nEarthing resistance\nIV curve testing\nTransformer testing\nSCADA integration checks\n5.

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)\nImplement site safety procedures and HSE policies.\nConduct toolbox talks and safety meetings.\nEnsure compliance with statutory and electrical safety standards.\nMonitor PPE usage and safe work practices.\nReport and investigate incidents or near misses.\n6. Coordination & Stakeholder Management\nCoordinate with:\nClient representatives\nConsultants\nLocal authorities\nDISCOM / utility officials\nInternal engineering teams\nAttend project review meetings.\nProvide progress updates and MIS reports to management.\n7. Testing & Commissioning\nSupport pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.\nEnsure synchronization and grid connectivity readiness.\nCoordinate performance testing and handover activities.\nEnsure punch point closure before project handover.\n8.
