Job Description
Role: Linux Administrator\nRequired Technical Skill Set: Unix/Linux Administrator\nDesired Experience Range:5-10 years\nLocation: Noida\nDesired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)\n\nMust-Have\n\nKnowledge of Installation, Administration and Troubleshooting of RHEL/SUSE Linux and various Installlation techniques\nKnowledge of NIS, LDAP, DNS and DHCP.\nKnowledged of server Hardware like Dell/Cisco/HP/IBM etc\nKnowledge of Kernel parametres and security policies, RBAC etc\nKnowledge of shell scripting (BASH/C), Python/Perl would be added.\nKnowledge of basic SAN/NAS/NFS storage management.\nStrong knowledge of RHEL/SLES OS Administration and commands.\nStrong knowledge in OS Patching (SMT/Yast/2upgrade/SCC) etc.\nKnowledged of Step/Online migration for various OS versions .\nWorking within the Oracle/RDBMS/RMAN/DB on day to day basis.\nExcellent knowledge of FS/Log/Kernel Management\nThorough knowledge of VMware concept (Vcenter/ESXi) etc\nBasic knowledge of Automation tools like Ansible, puppet etc.\nTranslate technical issues into understandable business language for end-users\n**Exposure to Cloud computing is great to have but not a must.\nservice levels are achieved in Data Centre.\n\nGood-to-Have\n\nMust be able to create and modify day to day scripts.\nMust be able to manage VMware environment as and when required.\nMust know to create solution for different issues as required and also to build servers from scratch (VM/Physical blades/RM Blades)\nManaging and installing Third party softwares/tools and scheduling automated jobs as per the customer requirement.\nCreating automated jobs and scripts to ensure seamless operations.\nMust be able to work on SEV1/ SEV2 issue calls for fixing the issue related to Unix/Storage/RHEL/SUSE related issue.\nKnowledge of Incident Management & Change Management.\nKnowledge of Maintaining & Respecting Internal & External SLA.\nHandling Complex IT/Business/Customer issues, major incidents & manage multiple priorities with Flexibility, integrity and creative problem-solving skills.\nPerform trend analysis, identify top incidents and work with the respective teams/ client to minimise the alerts as well as counts.\nPerform RCA for Critical incidents related to the servers and follow security process defined for the engagement.
