It offers free education to children, especially those from rural and underprivileged backgrounds, based on the ideals of “education as service.” The program aims to create individuals with brilliant intellects, compassionate hearts, and competent hands who can contribute meaningfully to society.\nJob Type:\nFull-Time\nJob Summary:\nSri Sathya Sai Loka Seva Gurukulam Group of Institutions is seeking a qualified and compassionate School Counselor / School Psychologist to support the emotional, behavioral, social, and academic development of students. The role involves providing individual and group counseling, conducting psychological assessments, crisis intervention, and collaborating with teachers and parents to foster holistic student well-being aligned with value-based education.\nThis role involves being responsible for four to five residential school campuses situated within a cluster.

The candidate will be required to travel to these institutional campuses on a regular basis. Past work experience of working as a school counselor/psychologist is highly desirable.\nKey Responsibilities:\nVisit campuses within the allocated cluster on a regular basis\nProvide individual and group counseling for students\nConduct psychological assessments (learning, behavioral, emotional concerns)\nIdentify students requiring early intervention and support\nDevelop and implement Individualized Support Plans (ISP)\nProvide career guidance and academic counseling\nConduct life skills and socio-emotional learning sessions\nOffer crisis intervention and conflict resolution support to students\nOrganize workshops on mental health, stress management, and well-being\nOffer mental health literacy training to teachers and students\nTo provide training to teachers on the identification and management of children with behavioural issues and academic difficulties\nCollaborate with teachers, special educators, and administrators\nConduct parent meetings and provide psychoeducation\nMaintain confidential student records and documentation\nParticipate in multidisciplinary case discussions\nRequired Qualifications:\nMaster’s Degree in Psychology / Counseling Psychology / Clinical Psychology\nMinimum 2 years of experience working with children and adolescents\nSkills & Competencies:\nStrong assessment and counseling skills\nKnowledge of child and adolescent development\nAbility to handle crisis situations calmly\nEthical practice and confidentiality adherence\nAbility to work within a multidisciplinary team\n\nPersonal Attributes\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills\nMust be fluent in English, Kannada, Telugu\nAbility to work on own initiative\nPassionate to work with children\nEmpathy, resilience, and ability to work in emotionally demanding settings\nReliable, Enthusiastic, Punctual and Self-motivated\nAbility to identity and work within one’s limitation; seek support as and when required\n\nOther Requirements\nFlexibility to travel across different sites (Mandatory)\nEnthusiastic and willingness to engage in supervision, continuous personal and professional development, training, and service development activities\n\nContact Details:\nInterested candidates may send their CV to: CV to: [[email protected]]\nFor enquiries please contact: 6361095602\nSubject Line: Application for Special Educator\n\nwww.pbmt.org
