Compliance Manager

This role is based in India.\n\nKey Responsibilities :\n\nConduct annual risk assessments for each FHEI’s India-based university\nLead compliance audits and implement corrective actions to mitigate regulatory and operational risks across the India Campus business\nDevelop and operationalize policies, systems, and controls to support compliant scaling of India Campus operations\nAssist in implementing compliance efforts for the India Campus business in line with Indian regulations\nEnsure adherence to applicable Indian regulatory frameworks, including UGC (Setting up and Operation of Campuses of Foreign Higher Educational Institutions in India) Regulations, 2023\nManage compliance in key risk areas such as marketing practices, sales operations, cross-border payments, FDI considerations, and global sanctions (including OFAC)\n\nQualifications :\n\n5+ years of experience in internal audit, risk, and/ or compliance roles, preferably within higher education, edtech, or cross-border services businesses\nDirect experience with Indian higher education regulations and/or foreign university collaborations in India strongly preferred\nBachelor’s degree required\nStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite\nExcellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills\nSelf-driven, adaptable, and able to operate effectively in a fast-paced global environment\nStrong business acumen with the ability to balance compliance requirements and commercial priorities\nHigh attention to detail and ability to independently identify and resolve issues\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills
