Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Security Manager role based in Chennai. The Security Manager will oversee day-to-day security operations across all venues, including access control, visitor management, crowd control, and protection of guests, staff, and property. The role involves conducting regular risk assessments, developing and updating security policies and standard operating procedures, and coordinating security coverage for events of varying scale and complexity. The Security Manager will supervise security personnel, schedule shifts, provide training on safety protocols and emergency response, and ensure compliance with local regulations. The position also includes liaising with external security vendors and law enforcement agencies, monitoring security systems, responding to incidents, and preparing incident reports and improvement plans.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Physical Security and Security Management, including crowd control, incident response, and venue protection.
Knowledge of Information Security and Cybersecurity principles to safeguard sensitive event, client, and operational data.
Understanding of Network Security concepts related to CCTV, access control, and other connected security systems.
Proven experience in managing security teams, including training, scheduling, performance oversight, and vendor coordination.
Familiarity with safety regulations, emergency preparedness, and coordination with local authorities and first responders.
Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Experience in hospitality, events, or large public venues is preferred; prior leadership in a security role is highly desirable.
Relevant certification or training in security management, risk management, or safety (e.g., CPP, PSP, or equivalent) is an advantage.
