Head - Data & Analytics

Purpose:\n\nThe Head of Data & Analytics will be responsible for leading Suzlon’s enterprise-wide data and analytics initiatives, enabling data-driven decision-making and leveraging insights to drive business growth and operational efficiency. The role will oversee the development and execution of the organization’s data strategy, manage scalable data infrastructure, and establish robust data governance frameworks.\nAdditionally, the incumbent will be responsible for driving the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI (GenAI) capabilities across the organization. This includes identifying high-impact use cases, implementing advanced analytics models, leveraging machine learning and large language models (LLMs), and embedding GenAI solutions into business processes to enhance productivity, innovation, and decision intelligence.\n\nResponsibilities & Accountabilities\n\n1.Strategy and Governance\n\nDevelop and execute a comprehensive data & analytics strategy to support business decision-making by providing data based analysis to achieve organisational objectives aligned with the organization's goals and objectives .\nEstablish data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure data quality, integrity, and security.\nEstablish data management processes and procedures, including data acquisition, storage, integration, and retention.\nCollaborate with solution leads, BU and functional teams to identify data requirements and analytics use cases and prioritize initiatives based on business needs.\n\n2.Data Architecture and Infrastructure\n\nDesign and implement a scalable and efficient data architecture to support the organization's analytics and reporting needs.\nOversee the implementation and maintenance of data storage, processing, and integration systems (e.g., data warehouses, data lakes, ETL processes).\nEnsure appropriate design, implementation and maintenance of data architecture and oversee effective data extraction for SCADA systems.\nEnsure data security and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR etc..) in data storage and handling.\n\n3.Data Integration and Management\n\nOversee data modeling efforts to ensure consistency, accuracy, and relevance of data structures.\nImplement data quality monitoring and establish processes for data integration, data cleansing, etc.\nManage the data governance and quality assurance processes to ensure the accuracy and consistency of data.\n\n4.Data Analysis and Insights\n\nLead the development and implementation of data analytics tools, technologies and methodologies.\nLead design and execute data analysis projects to generate actionable insights and drive data-informed decision-making.\nDrive statistical analysis and modeling techniques to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities in data.\n\n5.Business Intelligence and Reporting\n\nDevelop and manage business intelligence systems and tools to enable self-service analytics and reporting.\nCollaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and coordinate with vendor teams to execute relevant data manipulation, develop data models, design dashboards and deliver actionable insights.\nDevelop and maintain an understanding of emerging trends and technologies in business analytics and provide guidance to the team.\n\n6.People Management\n\nProvide direction and guidance to the team and foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.\n\nExperience:\n\n15+ years of relevant experience with at least of 5 years of experience in leading business analytics solutions and driving data visualisation, analytics and manipulation activities across leading manufacturing or similar organizations.
